Nov 29, 2010 at 9:37 PM

After installing, deploying and activating the solution, when I go to Operations>Execute an especific Job and click on any job I get an error 'File Not Found'.  Any help would be greatly appreciated as this would be a very helpful feature for us!

After the instalation the package create a folder with an aspx file in the "path sharepoin'\TEMPLATE\ADMIN\SiderysXXX", can you check that exist this folder and this file in your sharepoint enviroment. Can you activete the feature in the Central Administration Portal?

Yes, the folder exists along with a subfolder named 'RunJobs' which contains the following files: 'RunEditJobSharePoint.aspx' and 'RunJobsSharePoint.aspx'

Yes, the feature is active on the Central Administration site under Site Settings>Site features.  The 'Siderys.Jobs.Run.Jobs' says 'Active'.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

this is rare :(. Can you check the event log and logs of SharePoint to review the problem?. Try to access the page again and when you got the error, review the logs to search anything there, because this behavior is strange. I will check again in an enviroment with SharePoint 2007 and will back you.

You are right, there are an error in WSS when you try to open one or more jobs, sorry, the problem is the page is not optimized by WSS. I will refactoring and go back with you with a new version ASAP.

I uploaded a new version of this tool. This version is WSS compatible. There was a wrong reference in the ASPX file and the page fialed to load when you selected a job. Here you can download the new version of the tool

Before I proceed, can you confirm exactly what I need to do to uninstall the previous version?

You need the following step to unistall the old solutions:

1) edit the file "removeSolutionSiderysJobsRun.bat" wiht the Notepad.exe
2) change the url used in the parameter of command stsamd. Chage -url http://win2k8sps:2007/ by -url http://<server>:<Port>/ the url of your central administration
3) save the file
4) run the file using the command promt (cmd.exe)
5) after install againg the tool using the file "installSolutionSiderysJobsRun.bat" as you done before.
